7 Days To Jazz
Improvisation
For Classical Musicians - finally make sense of jazz, using the theory and skills you already have.
Sound Familiar?
You've spent years mastering classical technique, but the moment someone says "just improvise," your mind goes blank.
You can read anything on the page, but a lead sheet with chord symbols feels like a foreign language.
You've tried watching YouTube tutorials, but nothing connects the dots between what you already know and what jazz actually requires.
You want to play with other musicians, but you're afraid of "playing the wrong note."

Meet the Creator
Shannon Gunn
Hi, I’m Shannon. I’ve been a professional jazz trombone player for over 15 years, with performance credits including:
🎶 The Kennedy Center
🎶 DC Jazz Festival
🎶 Teaching jazz at the college level for 4 years
After coaching hundreds of students, I kept hearing the same thing:
“What can I play over a ii V7?”
“What should I play over a V7?”
“What are some ideas over a minor ii7(b5) V7(b9) i?”
So I built a resource for all improvisers—from the ground up.
I am endorsed by Conn Selmer and play a Bach 16M New York Model. I play on a Greg Black mouthpiece.
